There are many large hills across the county which are perfect for training on as well as many miles of roads and lanes to explore.
You can see some of the routes we take regularly on our YouTube Channel
Paul rides a number of routes across North Cornwall on a regular basis, using the National Cycle Network and local roads which take in as many hills as possible.
General Route Info
One of the popular routes of the moment is heading along the coast road from Wadebridge up to Tintagel. This takes in a number of serious hills but rewards you with some of the most spectacular views in Cornwall.
Another favourite is the coast road from Padstow down past Newquay, again there are a number of challenging hills which are great for training plus incredible views. There are also a number of places to stop for a break along the way. You can link up with the A39 on the way back from Newquay which is a large fast moving road. We wouldn't however recommend cycling on the A30 as this is a fast dual carriageway at many sections through North Cornwall.
